The pathology report on the tissue removed during Sara's second surgery is done. There were NO cancer cells in the tissue removed, meaning that we are done in Hawaii. We are flying to Houston on Thursday night and heading to San Antonio within the next few days. Sara has an appointment with the chemotherapy doctor on May 1 and will probably start chemo soon thereafter.
We have had a great time in Hawaii, but are ready to get on with the next phase of treatment.
We are grateful for the quality of care that Sara received while at Tripler and are so thankful to all the doctors and nurses who have treated her. Thanks again for your thoughts and prayers...they are felt!

Great News about the test results! I Oh sweet Texas... home, sweet, home.
What wonderful news! Yippee! SO grateful and thankful this day! Your pack out looked like it went well; sure do miss you!!!
YEAH God! When we lived in SA, we had a super friend who was receiving treatment at Wilford Hall for breast cancer. She had a really positive experience there and was not sick one day! She credited God and her doc's preventative treatment for the yucky side effects of chemo. We've still got dear, dear friends on Randolph. Let me know if you'd like to be put in touch with them! (:
Sara & Brad!

So glad to hear the great news. Kiss that Texas soil.....sweet home! Not sure if that one pic is a sunrise or sunset, but could be ironic either way.....sun setting on your time in Hawaii or rising on Texas and the next phase of Sara's treatment. We are thinking about you!
Can't wait to see you guys. So glad the test results came back good.
So happy the latest pathology came back negative! Hope you have a pleasant trip back to Texas. As always, you both are in our prayers.
