Chloe has continued to thrive during her first 2 days under our direct care. When we were walking out of the hospital with Chloe, I told Sara, "I cannot believe they gave her to us. Now we are 100% responsible for her well-being." It seemed like a fairly daunting task, but she is doing great.
Her day consists of sleeping, eating, and pooping. The doctors encouraged us to wake her up every 3 hours to feed her. Being a preemie, they said that she probably would not wake up crying when she was hungry. We are tired, but having her at home is TOTALLY worth it! She's eating like a champ and is gaining weight.
Sara is still having her headaches, but they seem to be getting milder. I have a call in to the anesthesia office at Wilford Hall to discuss "epidural induced headaches" and what we can do to alleviate them. I'm 99% sure that the needle sticks to her spine are causing them (I did lots of reading yesterday).
Here are some pics of the little one.

Congratulations, Sullivan Family! Chloe is precious:) Those car seat pictures really show just how tiny she is, isn't God amazing?!
I wanted to tell you that I had a similar spinal headache after botched epidurals during the delivery of our second son at WH last year. They ended up giving me a "blood patch epidural" to relieve the symptoms.
I hope Sara feels better soon! You're taking such good care of your girls! Katie Pelletier
What a blessing to see! Chole is such a darling little thing and we're so happy she is doing well!! I love the nursery bedding, too. This is such a wonderful thing to watch....praise be to the Lord for His mercies and blessings!!
Awesome pictures. Sara you look great. I have been following your blog and getting the emails from Grandma Linda. I am so proud and happy for both of you. I am the NICU and ante partum mom chaplain so I have been reading about your progress with great interest. Since I was at MD Anderson as chaplain for over 6 years I have also watched your cancer journey.AS one of my former patients told me Remember: cancer is not the big C. Christ is the big C and he will take care of the little c. I know your faith has been your strength during this time. You have been and continue to be in my prayers. Hope to see all three of you some time. Garner was hot and dry this year. You did not miss anything. Enjoy your girl. Cloe is lucky to have you two as her parents. Blessings, Glenda McDonald
I just got word. I am fervently praying for Sara. Brady, hang in there. I'm anxiously awaiting some news. Love you guys sooo much!
She really is beautiful (and I don't just say that...some babies aren't)! It's so precious how tiny she is in that big, beautifully made bed.
I know everyone says it, but it really does FLY by. Keep taking lots of pictures. You will be glad you did, especially when your sleep deprived brain has forgotten so much!
She is such a darling. Enjoy every moment and love her with all your heart.
I do not know you, but know of you from Danielle Cowart and I have been praying for your family for a long time now. I am blessed by reading your blog often and seeing your care for your wife and daughter. I am so sorry that Sara is doing poorly right now and I know this must be so difficult. I continue to pray for you and a miracle for Sara...
She's so sweet.
There is nothing more beautiful than a happy new mom holding her brand new baby at home. I love this picture of Sara and Chloe.
