Where we stand...

I will start out by telling you that the prognosis for Sara is looking VERY grave. I got a call from the ICU doctor this morning at 4:00am advising me of Sara's change in status. A little after midnight, Sara had a spike in her blood pressure, followed by a drastic drop in blood pressure. Drug intervention was required to raise her BP to a normal range. Soon thereafter, her body began ridding itself of all fluids (diabetes insipidus). The doctors explained that this is typically what happens when there is brain stem compression. They took Sara downstairs for another CT scan to look at changes in her brain. There was more brain swelling than before and more fluid was compressing her brain. The doctor asked me how far I lived from the hospital, and I knew things were not good. He told me I did not need to come in immediately, but I knew today was not going to bear good news.

Once I got to the hospital, the doctor told me that when they hooked Sara back up to the EEG machine, there was hardly any brain activity (indicative of impending brain death). They explained that she had experienced cerebral herniation (the brain stem is compressed into the base of the skull) apparently cutting off blood flow to her brain. Once her blood pressure had dropped, the doctors removed the sedatives and anti-seizure medicine to help keep her blood pressure up. The doctors decided that they want to do a final test in the morning to test for blood flow to her brain. If there is no blood flow, the doctor will declare "brain death" and we will move forward with the plan to process her organs for donation.

I still believe that God can perform an amazing miracle tonight and raise her from her apparent brain death. Please join our family in prayer for that.

I cannot believe that it has come to this point (nor can the doctors), but tonight before I left, I told Sara, "Chloe and I will be okay and I want you to go in peace." This was one of the most difficult sentences I've ever spoken, but it is the TRUTH!

I have much more to share, but the bed and the baby are calling. Please pray.

God bless you for your strength. Stay strong and know that prayers are being said all over the world for Sara tonight. Hold her hand, talk to her, and tell her you love her. She knows you are there and can hear you. God has ways for us to speak to one another even when no words can be exchanged. You will give her strength and peace and she will give you clarity.
Still praying,

Hi Brady. You don't know me, but my daughter, Cori Walker, went to school with Angie. I just wanted to tell you that I have so much admiration for you and Sara. I don't understand the WHY of y'alls situation, but I've learned over the course of my own battle with Stage IIIc Ovarian Cancer that the WHY is something that I might not ever understand. I believe it's the HOW we handle our challenges in life that are most important. And you, Sara, and your families have obviously handled your situation with more courage than I've ever seen. God has healed my body for now. I know not what my future holds, but if He decides in for my disease to return, I hope I can exhibit the strength and fortitude that you ALL have shown to those of us watching from the outside. My first prayer tonight is for Sara's complete and total healing, whether it be here on earth or with our Heavenly Father, according to His perfect will. My second prayer is His perfect grace and peace to bless you and Sara's family whatever the outcome. It's so much easier for those of us on the outside to pray that, I know. But I speak from experience and from my heart when I tell you that these were my prayers when I faced my own dire circumstances 6 months ago. I will continue to pray for not only Sara, but you, the baby, and your families. Know that there are many lives you have ALL touched throughout this difficult time. God bless you Brady, and your precious daughter, in whatever lies ahead. I pray for a miracle! May you find His grace sufficient. God bless!

Be blessed sister! Tiffani and I think you and your family are b-e-a-utiful! We know that God has His hand upon your body, upon your mind, upon your spirit, and upon your family.

I think I heard you say that there is nothing to worry about b/c it is all in God's hands. To be strong, To keep the faith, shows all of us the true heart beat of your being. You have influenced many, you have always shown kindness to people, love, and a joy to live life to the fullest. Tiffani says you have never met a stranger, I like that. We never can know the hand that will turn up, and sometimes we just have to play that hand and make the best of it. I believe that you are playing that hand, giving glory to the FATHER, every step of the way. My family and I want you to know that we care about you and everyone involved that is close to your inner circle. We are praying; for the miracle that you will be lifted out of your current state, but know that it is all in God's Hands. God Bless You! God Bless your family!

Brady,

Lifting Sara up in my thoughts and prayers. I continue to be amazed by your courage and faith.

Thinking of Sara, Chloe, you, your family and Sara's family.

I was lucky enough to know, and be touched by Sara in college and working through Young Life. She's an amazing, beautiful, faithful woman. She was there for me through many hard times, and I'm better for knowing her.

Praying praying praying for a miracle.

I found your blog posted by a friend of mine on Facebook. I want you to know I am praying for a miracle. My eyes swelled up with tears after reading this last blog. I can't even imagine how you feel. God has plans for everyone and no one wants to see their loved ones leave us, but I want to share a verse with you..if you don't mind-- Philippians 1:21 says "For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain." God bless you and Sara and your precious baby Chloe.

For everyone praying and keeping Sara in thought, and in Prayer…let’s all get into position today by singing a song of praise! All throughout the day, thank Him for what He is doing in your life, count your blessings, give Him praise for His Goodness in your lives! As Angie Mead Wingo, says…tomorrow is never promised.

FOR SARA, FAMILY & FRIENDS…..
It's important that you keep your heart in an attitude of faith. Believe that God is for you. Believe His plans for you have not changed despite the problems or troubling circumstances. If it feels like you're facing impossible challenges, don't be afraid. God is on your side–nothing is impossible for Him. Stay focused on what God can do in your life. Remember, He's always in control. God knows the end from the beginning and He allows challenges in your life to cause you to trust Him more. As you put your faith in Him.

We ask our Father in heaven, to surrender all our questions, all our doubts, all our fears to Him today. We know that He has a plan to fulfill every dream and desire in our hearts. We choose to sing praises unto Him this day and thank Him for His goodness and faithfulness in our lives. Thank You for being with us. We choose today to focus on You and not on our situation. And we refuse to allow the enemy's attacks to come against our dreams, our hopes, our desires, our Families and Friends. We will continue to walk by faith, not by sight knowing You are with us every step of the way. We know there is a healing in the Power of Prayer, and today we choose to continue to pray for Sara, family and friends, Father you are a God of the most high God and we believe you are working behind the scenes, and that you have Your hands of healing upon Sara. We thank you Lord for your goodness, and your amazing grace, and we thank you for Your love in bringing us together in this moment of PRAYER for Sara. For we all know there is POWER IN PRAYER In Jesus’ Name!!!
Father in heaven, today we choose to keep our mind focused on Your goodness, and your faithfulness. Thank You for Your grace, mercy, and loving-kindness. Thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus so that we can live in victory and live a life filled with your greatness and everything wonderful!!! We bless and praise You today. In Jesus' Name. Amen."

God Bless,
Brandy Reed

Dear Sullivan Family:
I was just notified of the need to pray for you and yours by Natalie Green.

Brady...how appropriate that you and Sara named your child Cloe Grace...for God's Grace is like the rain and it continues to fall and fall and fall. May you not only forever know His Grace but his Peace as well that surpasses all human understanding.

In times of great pain...often we do not "feel" like trusting the Lord and must make a conscious effort to do so. As hard as it is for me to type the following..."Rejoice in the Lord always and again I will say, Rejoice." Phil.4:4 His word does not say sometimes when we feel like it...but always.

May our Heavenly Father provide for your family's every need...as we know He will.

Blessings,
Robin Diamond

I donot know you or your family, but I do know your God. And I do know this, that we as christians have a different kind of body, a body that was covered by the powerful blood of the lamb. Im going to say a prayer by faith for Sarah's complete healing and that God's will will be done in your situation and in your family.
God,
I come to you right now with a humbled heart. Lord I may noy understand why this is going on or all that it pretains, but I know that you do. God I pray right now that your Holy Spirit would visit Sarah right now and give her an overwhleming peace and comfort. Lord I know that even in the darkest hours of our lives you are still with us and you are still in control. So Lord Im asking you to take control of Sarahs body right now Lord. By your stripes we are HEALED!! God where you dwell sickness and desease cannot, and will not be present! I am proclaiming that over Sarah's body right now in the name of JESUS! There is power in your name and power in your blood!! God I ask for an overwhelming comfort and peace for the whole family. I have been where they are standing, getting ready to say my goodbyes to a close family member but then you stepped in and changed my families lives forever. God I pray the same thing for this family Lord. I pray that you would be with the doctors and give them a divine wisdom. Lord I pray that you would annoint any hand before it touches Sarah's body. I pray that her full recovery would be a wittness and a testimony to win people for your kingdom!! God I worship your powerful and holy name and I speak it over their lives right now, JESUS, JESUS, JESUS!!! The enemy has no hold on this family in Jesus name he has to flee!! Now Im thanking you Lord before it is even done for your incredible healing. Thank you and I praise you. Amen.

I just want you to know that I have been where you are my aunt had a brain aneurysm that was supposed to be fatal and your story sounds a lot like ours. We had all come up to say our goodbyes and the next day the doctors came in to check her and there was nothing there. God had completely healed her. Thats why I felt like it was important that I left this message. I havent ever done anything like this before but I wanted you to know that our God is the same God that walked on this earth so many years ago and he works in the same miracle working power today, tomorrow, and yesturday. I will be continuing to pray for you and your family.
God Bless,
Malerie Sayers <><

We aren't even aquaintances, however, I will be in prayer for you and your family. What I read moved me to tears. Harships come and go in our lives. oft times, without visible reasons. However, I am a strong believer in the God of the universe. He will give you the grace and strength to get through whatever comes next. And when this 'next' is over, He'll still be there. Love and prayers,

Oh great and heavenly Father, we come to you in prayer asking for healing and prayer for our sister, Sara Sullivan. You, God, know what she needs to overcome. Send it down, let your Angel of Hope stand by your child and give her strength and courage to hold on and wait on God to work his miracles through her. Dear Lord, let her know that through you all things are possible.

Isaiah 53:5 says: WITH HIS STRIPES WE ARE HEALED.

So dear Lord, watch over our sister and bring her through, if it be thy will. We ask this and holy forgiveness in your son Jesus's name. Amen.

I am so sorry. I don't know you, but I am praying. I was just doing my bible study and the focus was on Hebrews 2. Jesus has conquered the grave and taken the sting of death from us. Although I will pray for complete healing for Sara, you are demonstrating faith in what God has told us about not fearing death. Whether Sara is healed physically in this life or whether God ushers her into heaven sooner than you expected, I will continue to pray. I am so sorry for this valley you are walking through...
